May 18, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Join Ty Thornock, a green woodworker from Persia, Iowa, for a day-long course to learn the basics of knife skills and woodcarving using locally-sourced wood (mostly fallen branches and trees that are removed), and create a beautiful and functional Scandinavian spoon. Weather permitting, the course will be held in the Lithuanian Sculpture Garden, a fantastic, natural setting. Picture is representative of, but not identical to the course project.
