Description Extended Information

July 20, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Join Ty Thornock, a green woodworker from Persia, Iowa, for a day-long course to learn the basics of knife skills and woodcarving using locally-sourced wood (mostly fallen branches and trees that are removed). This class will focus on kolrosing, an old method of giving fine line surface decoration to wood. Weather permitting, the course will be held in the Lithuanian Sculpture Garden, a fantastic, natural setting. Picture is representative of, but not identical to the course project.
