Basics of Herbal Medicine- October 18

This class will explore a variety of methods and mechanisms through with herbal medicine can be used for optimal health and wellness. Instructed by Lauren A. Domenge, certified clinical herbalist and certified Ayurvedic lifestyle consultant. Pre-registration is required by October 11.

About the instructor:
Lauren A. Domenge has been a student of herbalism for over a decade and has been studying and applying the ancient practice of Ayurvedic medicine and wisdom in her own life for several years. She has received certification as a Certified Clinical Herbalist after completing a 2 1/2 year intensive program through Prairie Star Center for Herbal Studies under the guidance of Nicholas Schnell, RH, AHG. She has also studied Ayurvedic healing and philosophy for the last 4 years and has achieved certification as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant through the American Institute for Vedic Studies (November 2018). She is currently studying to become a Certified Yoga Teacher through the American Institute for Yoga Studies.
Participants should dress accordingly for all outdoor programs. No rain or snow dates are planned. It is recommended that registrants arrive 15 minutes before the start of the program, doors or gates may be locked 15 minutes after the start of the class. Upon arrival at the garden, participants should check-in at the admissions desk. Program registration includes admission to the garden for the entire day of the program. Children, or guests not properly registered or not participating in the program will need to pay garden admission (for programs held during normal operating hours). All supplies are included for each program, unless otherwise noted.
Refunds and cancellations:
If a registration for a program must be canceled, registration fees will be refunded if notice is received at least one week before the program date. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations within one week of the start of the program or for participants that are late or do not show for a program. Please note that programs with insufficient registrations may be cancelled. If Lauritzen Gardens cancels a program, phone or email notification will be made as early as possible and full refunds will be gives. In case of severe weather, please call (402) 346-4002, ext. 201 or, on the weekends, (402) 346-4002, ext 250 to check the status of the program.
