June 2, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. Come learn about the fascinating world of natural fabric dyes and quilted fabric techniques. Classes from June-November may be taken individually or as a series. In this session, learn about the history and chemistry of Rubia tinctorum, one of the most variable natural dyes. Participants will build a dye bath and soak some fabrics to produce oranges, reds, and rusts on pieces to take home. All supplies are provided. Photo by A Beautiful Mess.
