Description Extended Information

August 29, 2020 from 2 to 4 p.m. In this session, participants will take a leisurely hike around the garden and collect fallen plant materials with unique structures, shapes, and sizes and then use them to create a special piece of wearable art. The diversity in nature will create an abundance of possibilities and opportunities to experiment and will yield beautiful results. Participants will learn the process of preparing, bundling, and steaming plant parcels and will create their own starter plant soak solution to use at home for later projects. Instructor Ashton Page will provide some fabric to test with, but participants should bring items of clothing (made of natural materials) to make contact prints on, or yardage for a project if you make your own clothing.
