Three sessions: May 13, 20, and 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Seeds are as interesting and as varied as the plants they will become. Have fun learning to use artist's watercolor pencils to illustrate a variety of seeds in this class. We'll draw them in graphite, and then add a burst of color with the watercolor pencils. No prior drawing experience is necessary. Instructed by Camille Werther. $50 for garden members, $60 for non-members. Pre-registration is required by May 6.

Two sessions: June 10 and 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. Trees contribute so much to our lives. Cool off this June with a drawing class dedicated to our shade trees. Learn how trees are classified, and how this applies to illustrating them. Explore ways of recording leaf structure through leaf rubbings (not just for children!), tracings, and sketches. Instructed by Camille Werther. $35 for garden members, $45 for non-members. Materials needed: drawing paper, tracing paper, 2H, HB, 2B graphite pencils

Two sessions: August 27 and September 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. What exactly is a fruit? Is an eggplant or an acorn a fruit? Join us as we investigate the mysterious and fascinating world of fruits while drawing! Learn how to create an accurate illustration of a fruit in graphite using line techniques and measurements.
