This two-hour class is for beginner and intermediate amateur photographers. So you have this beautiful new camera and you know how to turn it on. Now what? Advance beyond using the automatic settings on your digital SLR camera to learn why and when to use the variations of aperture, shutter speed and lighting. By the end of the two hours, participants will understand in simple terms, the hows and whys of operating their camera. Participants must bring their own camera. Pre-registration is required by April 30.

This workshop is for upper level beginner to intermediate photographers. Participants will gain an understanding of what makes a great photo and pick up some tips, tricks and techniques that professional photographers use. The instructor, Will Fields, will provide clear instruction, guidance and feedback throughout four field exercises, as participants begin to develop their own style. Participants must bring their own camera. Pre-registration is required by April 30.

In this advanced two-hour class, we will concentrate entirely on photo composition. Following a 30 minute talk about aspects of 2D design, instructor Will Fields will instruct and guide participants through four field exercises designed to cause students to think more about composition before taking photos. Field exercises are followed up with constructive feedback. Students must have attended Photography Level 2 or submit 5 images for review by the instructor (www.willfields.com) Participants must bring their own camera. Pre-registration is required by April 30.

Come learn and expand your knowledge of evening/nighttime photography in the beautiful urban oasis that is Lauritzen Gardens. This after hours exploration will be led and coached by instructor Will Fields. Join Will for evening sessions that will help you further your camera at different times of the year and in differing light and color. Completion of Photography Level 2 or review of existing work is required. Participants must bring their own camera. Pre-registration is required by May 11.

This class is about exploring new points of view (POV).
