Description Extended Information
July 21, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. Come learn about the fascinating world of natural fabric dyes and quilted fabric techniques. Classes from June-November may be taken individually or as a series. Indigofera tinctorum is an illustrious blue dye that is used all over the world. In this class, participants will learn about the history and chemistry of indigo, build a dye vat, and learn how to produce blue on fabric. Participants will also learn about overdyeing on fabrics made in the previous two classes (or fabric provided), producing a whole rainbow of colors. All supplies are provided.
